This week's venture capital funding announcements cool off only slightly from the space's recent white-hot momentum, with two transactions in excess of the $100 million threshold.
The top reported deal, per FinSMEs, came from Wilmington, N.C.-based Vantaca, which raised a more-than $300 million round at a $1.25 billion valuation in part to "expand its business reach with the founding management team continuing to lead the company’s strategy and operations," according to the community-management platform's announcement. A community association management platform handles many, if not all, of the operations side of homeowners' and condominium associations. Our second announcement comes from the business AI space where Palo Alto, Calif.-based Uniphore brought in a $260 million Series F. The top five also included companies with an international flavor in the molecular science, talent acquisition, and healthcare sectors.
Smaller funding raises that did not quite make our top 5 this week included announcements from the healthcare, enterprise AI and insuretech spaces.
