Top 5 VC Deals of the Week in AI (10/28/26)
Our Top 5 VC Deals of the Week in AI featured funding announcements from Flapping Airplanes, Bedrock Robotics, Legora, Pathos AI, and Tractian

This week we continue our series on the top 5 VC-funded deals in AI.

This week our overall AI venture capital activity lost some momentum from recent weeks, with all five of our listed announcements coming in over $130 million and seven announcements total coming in over $100 million.

The biggest announcement, per FinSMEs, came from San Francisco-based Flapping Airplanes, an AI infrastructure and training provider, which raised $1 billion in a Series A to "accelerate its core machine learning research pipelines, expand its deep-tech engineering workforce, scale its software infrastructure testing, and commercialize its custom operational software stack," according to its announcement. Our second-place announcement was from San Francisco-based autonomous heavy equipment developer Bedrock Robotics, which raised $600 million in a Series C to "accelerate the volume of Bedrock-equipped machines across commercial construction sites in the U.S., expand deployments of fully autonomous machines with more contractors, and build the field, commercial, and operational infrastructure required for autonomy," according to its announcement. Rounding out the top 5 are announcements from the lawtech, biotech and physical AI spaces.

Smaller funding raises that did not quite make our top 5 this week included announcements from the data analytics, AI infrastructure, and wealthtech sectors.

Below, we highlight the top five venture capital deals, ranked from the highest to the lowest funding amounts, showcasing the companies at the forefront of the AI revolution...
